Dongpirang Village

Dongpirang Village became famous when university students and residents started drawing murals on the narrow, winding alleys in this beautiful hilltop village. Dongpirang Village has beautiful and colorful shops hidden along the narrow alleys that are decorated with beautiful murals. You should definitely visit this place when you come to Tongyeong.

Hallyeosudo Ropeway

Hallyeosudo Ropeway is the only dual-cable ropeway in Korea and it boasts a wonderful view of Tongyeong’s picturesque coast with hundreds of islands. You can also get off the cable car and tour the beautiful Mireuksa Temple on top.

Jungang Market

Jungang Market is a wonderful traditional market right next to Dongpirang Village. You can have all kinds of fresh seafood at wonderful prices in this market. Jungang Market is filled with delicious street food stores and exciting events to experience when you come to Tongyeong.

Dara Park

The name Dara comes from the word Dal which means moon in Korean. The park was named after the moon because it was considered one of the best places to see the moon. Come and enjoy the beautiful sunset, moonlight and the beautiful islands of Tongyeong’s coast with your families, friends and loved ones.

Somaemuldo Island

If you come to Somaemuldo Island, you’ll see a magical path that appears and disappears with the tidal change that occur once a day. The path connect Somaemuldo to an lighthouse island and if you get to the top of the lighthouse, you can enjoy one of the ‘Eight Scenic Views of Tongyeong’.

Bijindo Island

Bijindo is a magical island that has two different kinds of beaches between two islands. There is a small sandy path between two island and this path runs between two very different types of beaches. The one in the front is a sand beach and the one in the back is a gravel beach. Come and enjoy the magical natural landscape of Bijindo Island.
